For anyone contributing, here's my method for measuring cord usage:
- Measure the cord carefully to start
- Fuse strands
- Cow hitch one end, then loop through the second end
- Tie fairly tight
- Cut/singe or tuck/cut
- Measure cord remaining.
- Math
